Hand Drawn City Food Map of Taizhou

A hand-drawn city food map themed on Taizhou. The base is a simplified hand-drawn bird's-eye map of the city, labeling districts such as Jiaojiang, Luqiao and Huangyan and water landmarks such as the Ling River and Taizhou Bay; the goal is not accurate scale but a cute watercolor hand-drawn feel. Twelve food spots are distributed across the map as delicate little hand-drawn illustrations:
1. 蛋清羊尾 (egg-white "lamb tail" fritters) from the old grain mill in Jiaojiang (a golden fluffy whipped-egg dessert dusted with sugar, chopsticks lifting a strand)
2. 食饼筒 (shibingtong wheat wraps) from Ziyang Old Street in Linhai (a plump wheat wrap cut open to reveal shredded pork, egg sheet, rice noodles and other rich fillings)
3. 青蟹 (mud crab) from Sanmen (a plump green-shelled crab with its big claws spread, a small dish of ginger vinegar beside it)
4. 海鲜面 (seafood noodles) from Shitang fishing port in Wenling (a coarse ceramic bowl of milky white fish broth noodles covered with shrimp, razor clams and small yellow croaker)
5. 糟羹 (zaogeng thick soup) from Luqiao (a pot of thick, colorful potage with mustard greens, winter bamboo shoots, dried tofu and oysters all visible)
6. 炊圆 (chuiyuan steamed rice balls) from Kanmen in Yuhuan (three or four plump white glutinous rice balls resting in a steamer basket, a soy sauce dish dripping sesame oil beside them)
7. 麦虾 (maixia wheat-drop soup) from Huangyan (dough drops in a clay pot bubbling with clams and greens)
8. 八大碗 (the Eight Big Bowls) from Xianju (eight small coarse pottery bowls arranged in a circle: free-range chicken, stream fish, tofu skin, all present)
9. 饺饼筒 (jiaobingtong rolls) from Tiantai (several golden crisp thin-pancake rolls neatly stacked, showing braised pork and bean-noodle filling)
10. 麦油脂 (maiyouzhi wraps) from Linhai (on a bamboo tray, a wrapper as thin as cicada wings rolled around minced pork, bean sprouts and shredded egg)
11. 嵌糕 (qiangao stuffed rice cake) from Wenling (a thick rice cake patty stuffed with braised pork and a fried dough stick, sizzling on a griddle)
12. 姜汁调蛋 (ginger juice steamed egg) from Jiaojiang (a blue-and-white bowl of amber ginger broth holding silky egg custard, sprinkled with a few crushed walnuts).
Each illustration takes up about 5% of the map area, with the shop name and a one-line recommendation handwritten beside it, such as 阿婆凌晨四点就起来和面 (Grandma gets up at four in the morning to knead the dough) or 本地人认准这口锅 (locals swear by this one pot). The edges of the map are decorated with hand-drawn vines, bayberry branches and small seafood (shrimp, crab, shells) forming a border. In the bottom right corner there is a hand-drawn compass (labeled 东海 / East China Sea) and a legend. The title in the top left corner, 台州·山海食光地图 (Taizhou: A Map of Food Time Between Mountain and Sea), uses plump rounded hand-drawn lettering, decorated with bayberries and small yellow croaker. The overall drawing style is a hand-drawn watercolor plus colored pencil texture, with colors mainly bayberry red, ginger yellow, sea blue and emerald green. Image ratio 1:1.
